M6 Project – Fasting
“Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. Fasting- is it about Appearance or Sustenance? | How we look vs. what we are looking for!
Spiritual Fuel
“‘It is written: “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God'” (Matt. 4:4).

God has represented His Word as food that nourishes our spiritual life in the same way that physical food nourishes our physical life (see Ps. 119:103; Jer. 15:16; Ezek. 3:1-3). Just as food strengthens and maintains our bodies, the Word of God nourishes, fuels and strengthens our spirits.

2 Chronicles 20:1-4,12 “After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat. Some men came and told Jehoshaphat: ‘A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea.
